What age are the guides suitable for?

We have two versions: one for children aged 2–5 and one for children aged 6–9. Each guide is tailored to suit the physical and developmental stage of that age group.

Do I need a big garden to practice these activities with my child?

No - not at all! As part of our drive to make sports accessible to all, we actively recommend using your local facilities, like your local park, to have fun practicing sports with your child. Some activities can even be done with a bit of space indoors.

What’s the difference between the 2–5 and 6–9 year old guides?

The 2–5 year old guides are parent-led and focused on learning through play, with imaginative story prompts for each activity. The 6–9 year olds guides encourage more independent learning, with technique tips and fun challenges like beating personal bests to build skill and confidence.

Do I need to be sporty to use the guide with my child?

Not at all! The guides are written with parents and carers in mind — no coaching experience needed. Each activity includes simple steps and illustrations to help you feel confident leading your child.

Are the activities suitable for just one child?

Yes — all activities are designed to be accessible to children on an individual basis. They’re perfect for one-to-one sessions between you and your child.

Can my child’s friend or sibling also join in?

Absolutely - all they will need to join in with your child is their own set of cones (so you can set up each activity for them as well!). Simply add another set of cones to your order when purchasing your guide(s).

What’s included in each guide?

Each guide includes 50 activities, step-by-step instructions, clear illustrations, and either themed story prompts (ages 2–5) or technique tips (ages 6–9). You’ll also receive one set of 8 coloured cones (2 of each colour) with your order.

What if I don’t have a football or other sports equipment?

No problem! We offer optional equipment add-ons if you don’t already have what’s needed. But good news - most guides require minimal equipment to get started.

How are the guides structured?

Each guide is split into clear chapters based on the key categories for that sport. You can follow them in order or dip into your child’s favourites.

Can the guides be used to support existing sports sessions?

Definitely. They’re a great way to reinforce skills at home, support shy or hesitant children before joining a club, or simply provide extra fun between sessions.

Are the stories in the 2–5 guide optional?

Yes — the story prompts are there to add extra fun and imagination, but every activity works perfectly without them too.

Do I need to complete the activities in order?

No — you can pick and choose activities based on what your child enjoys or what you’d like to focus on that day.
